We have had quite a few comments over the years about our movement stand. It works quite well for everything from a grandfather clock to a cuckoo clock. If you would like to build your own I laid out a list of materials and dimensions.

The length is variable according to your work space. Ours will accommodate 8 grandfather units easily. To use oak is overkill, but it makes a nice job.

I need to give credit to the late Bud Huelzeberg who designed and shipped the parts to us and we assembled it. The stringers between the front and back of the stand are dado edges so. They do not fall off the stand but still have the ability to slide back and forth. There are longer stringers not shown that can be laid crosswise for a cuckoo clocks. They allow one to actually work on the back of the clock.
